INTRODUCTION INTO WASTE PLASTIC AS FUNCTIONAL ART
Here is the information you will need to get ready for the plastic bags workshop. This workshop will be filled with step-by-step hands-on techniques that will teach you how to transform everyday waste plastic into beautiful and functional art objects. You will learn about injection moulding, extrusion techniques, current ideas on how to tackle the plastic pollution problem, and what you can personally do all while getting hands-on and learning our full range of methods & materials. ADVANCED TECHNIQUES
Join us for the next step in advanced recycled plastic art making. Building on the knowledge you learned in the P101 workshop, this workshop will be filled with step by step hands-on techniques that will teach you all about how transforming everyday waste plastic into beautiful and functional art objects. In this advanced workshop you will learn about advanced moulding techniques, sheet press and plastic welding techniques. You will also learn about current ideas on how to tackle the plastic pollution problem, and what you can personally do. All while you get hands-on and learn our full range of methods & materials. You will leave with new friends, lots of new information and with useful, one-of-a-kind products you made with waste plastic!
PLASTIC BAGS INTO FUNCTIONAL ART!
This workshop will be filled with step by step hands-on techniques that will teach you all about how to transform everyday waste plastic bags into beautiful and functional art objects. You will learn all about heating, kneeding and slumping the waste plastic into custom compression moulds. You will also learn about current ideas on how to tackle the plastic pollution problem, what you can personally do. All while you get hands-on and learn our full range of methods & materials. You will leave with new friends, lots of new information and with useful, one-of-a-kind products you made with waste plastic! Yes!
TRASH TO TREASURE!
We have developed a fun, hands-on program that teaches kids that we must all reduce our dependency on plastic and always seek alternative packaging when shopping. For instance, we teach them that “precycling” is even more important than recycling. Precycling means looking at the bottom of everything we buy and if we find the plastics #3, #6 or #7 on the bottom, not buying it. That way it will never end up in our homes and it will never end up in our environment. The kids will leave with practical information they can share at home and have a wonderful “Trash to Treasure” keepsake they personally made from waste plastic!
